Ahhh, the Emerge blog. I would have posted here sooner but procrastination is from Satan himself...I would say " Hey I need to go and post on the emerge blog. " and I would go here look at all the new and recent posts ( all 3... ) and then, leave. As Kermit so kindly demonstrates. To do something else, tossing it aside saying " BAH! I'll do it later! Sorry, it happened again...anyway back to what I was here for.
-Matthew 5:8, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God."
This verse I in my opinion is saying that there is only hot, and cold Christians. Many say they follow God and his word, but they truly don't. Living sinful lives on the side, carrying an impure heart. Therefore they don't see God and his love for them. So, as the verse states, " Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will (truly) see God "
-Hebrews 12:14, "Make every effort to live in peace with everyone & to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord."
This verse reminds me of John 13:34-35 " A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another " My interpretation of the verse is basically, God is telling us to love others as yourself, so that others will see God through us. For without love and peace towards others, no one will see God.
