In response to Jerimy kanaday's stellar question about whether we have the same fire we had when we got out of the ski invasion vans I would say no. I hate to give dad credit when he's write but he had a point sunday when he said that we are either moving forward in our relationship or backward, we can never be the same (neutral). So for me I could definetively say that I am closer to God than when I got off the van. Ski Invasion for me wasn't as powerful or even life changing for me, its something about the flashy lights, loud music, and long winded speakers that makes me loose focus. But after the trip and our second emerge meeting I began to read the bible some, but even more than that become more involved in practicing on the piano with worship songs. I have also begun to slowly cut out secular music from my life so that it doesn't distract me and my new found passion for playing the piano. So I feel that I have become ever so slightly closer to God rather than spending another month moving backwards.
